The Kansas City Chiefs added some offensive players in the final day of the 2025 NFl Draft, after focusing entirely on defense in Day 2.

Kansas City’s first selection in Day 3 came in the fourth round, where they picked Utah State wide receiver Jalen Royals 133rd overall. Royals only played in six games in 2024, but did record 55 catches for 834 yards.

Their next pick came in the fifth round, where the Chiefs picked Oregon linebacker Jeffrey Bassa at 156. Bassa now joins a veteran linebacker group with Nick Bolton, Drue Tranquill and Leo Chenal.

The final pick in the draft for Kansas City came in the seventh round as the Chiefs picked SMU running back Brashard Smith at 228 overall. Smith ran a 4.39 second 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine, giving the Chiefs some much needed speed in the backfield.

Overall, the Chiefs made seven selections over the three-day event, picking four on defense and three on offense.

OTAs and off-season workouts for the Chiefs begin in late May.
