A Boonville woman was seriously injured in a one-vehicle crash in Cooper County on Tuesday, April 29.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when a vehicle driven by an 82-year-old Boonville woman traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a mailbox. The vehicle returned to the roadway before traveling off the right side of the roadway and striking a culvert.

The driver was transported to an area hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

The accident occurred at 9:40 a.m. on Missouri 179, north of Highland School Road in Cooper County.
