With spring comes prom and graduation, and students at one area school are receiving guidance on how to navigate this critical chapter of their lives.
The counseling staff at Slater High School has spent April organizing a “Life Academy” for their students. Supt. Dr Terry Lorenz says the academy covers several topics.
Slater’s school board received an update on the academy during last week’s meeting. Also last week, the board approved their review of policies concerning support services, while giving a read to the policies concerning facilities development and personnel. They also viewed a video concerning organ donation and the opportunity to bring a presentation to the high school informing students about how to become an organ donor. The board will consider the proposal at their May meeting.
