The St Louis Blues are still looking for their first win north of the border in 2025, and if they’re going to get it this season, they’ll need to force a Game Seven.

Goals by Dylan DeMelo and Vladislav Namestnikov in the second period, along with an empty-netter by Adam Lowry, led the Winnipeg Jets to a 5-3 win over the Blues on Wednesday, April 30 at Canada Life Centre. The Blues were playing catch-up throughout the night, as Kyle Connor got the Jets on the board with his fourth goal of the series just 83 seconds into the contest. Nathan Walker tied the game two minutes later with a tip-in, only for Nino Niederreiter to put the Jets back in front five minutes after that.

Jimmy Snuggerud knotted the game back up with a wrist shot during the second period, but the Jets would clamp down on the Blues offense, limiting St Louis to just three shots on goal in the middle frame. The Blues attempted to get to Connor Hellebuyck a third straight game with ten shots on him in the third, but only Walker’s snap shot in the final minute would get through to give the Blues a small consolation as they face the potential of elimination Friday night. Binnington faced 25 shots on goal, saving 21, while the Blues were limited to just 19 chances all game.

St Louis have yet to win a game in Canada since their 4-3 overtime victory Dec. 10 at Vancouver, and would need to have play Game Seven in Winnipeg for a chance to advance. To get that chance, the Blues will need to win Friday night’s game at Enterprise Center to force that Game Seven. Puck drop is at 7 p.m.
