A Kansas City area artist will return to Marshall this weekend to host a second workshop for the area’s writers.

José Faus will host a workshop Saturday at the Covenant Presbyterian Church. Faus previews the workshop sponsored by the Marshall Writers’ Guild.

Faus says rural areas, especially historic regions like Saline County, have many stories that residents can tell.

Faus welcomes writing samples of all genres and lengths to Saturday’s writing workshop. The workshop takes place from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Covenant Presbyterian Church on East Yerby Street in Marshall.
