The Marshall Municipal Utilities Board of Public Works took the next to to enter into a service agreement for professional engineering services regarding future water and wastewater projects during its meeting on Wednesday, April 30.

MMU sent out a request for statements of qualifications and received responses from eight firms. The board is interested in moving forward with the agreement with Burns and McDonnell, but needs approval from the Marshall City Council and the Mayor. The board approved a motion to request the City Council to authorize the signing of this master services agreement.

The agreement allows Burns and McDonnell to provide water and wastewater engineering and design services for current and future projects.

In other new, board members approved a task order to update the Water Distribution System Master Plan for a price not to exceed $146,800. The board approved a motion back in January to allow Burns and McDonnell to update the plan. MMU management has now received the task order for this project.
