
7:45 p.m. UPDATE: The boil advisory for customers on County Road 337 and Highway 24 heading into Dewitt has been lifted.
Two water main line breaks were reported by Public Water Supply District No. 1 in Carroll County, which will lead to a boil advisory for certain residents after water service is restored.
The first break was reported south of Highway 24 on B blacktop. All water on the intersection of County Road 280 and Highway B heading south will be shut off for the repairs for several hours.
The second break was reported east of the intersection of Highway 24 and Highway V. Customers on County Road 337 and Highway 24 heading into Dewitt will see interruptions in service to allow for repairs.
Boil advisories will go into effect for all the affected residents after water service is restored. The advisory will be in effect until special sample results are received.
