The Moberly City Council reviewed bids for several upcoming projects during its meeting on Monday, May 5.

The council first reviewed bids to replace the lighting and electrical infrastructure at the Police Department’s Firing Range. Community Relations Manager Scott McGarvey says the department feels the upgrades would improve safety for day and night training.

The council approved the bid from Gateway Electrical Solutions.

The council also reviewed bids for repairs to 5th Street between Gilman and Wicker Streets due to water line repairs. A total of four bids were received. The council accepted the low-bid from Frech Paving Company in the amount of $50,100.
