The Warrensburg Convention and Visitors Bureau and Warrensburg City Council will mark National Travel and Tourism Week with a presentation Wednesday, May 7 at their Amtrak depot.

City and tourism officials will both gather on the eastbound platform of the train station at 9:30 a.m. to await the arrival of the Missouri River Runner, which connects Kansas City with St Louis and continues as the Lincoln Service to Chicago. Officials will give items of appreciation to Amtrak staff upon the train’s arrival, then present a proclamation recognizing the week after the train’s departure.
