Salvador Perez drove home Kansas City’s first two runs in the game with RBI hits in the first and third. Maikel Garcia added a two-run triple in the fifth to make it 4-0.
The Royals would add two more runs in the sixth, and four more in the eighth to put the game out of reach.
Kris Bubic picked up his fourth win of the season with seven scoreless frames. He allowed six hits and struck out seven batters.
