A Holden woman was killed when her vehicle overturned on a Johnson County roadway Thursday, May 8.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the 54-year-old woman was driving south on Route O about four miles southeast of Holden when at around 6:30 a.m., her vehicle went off the right side of the roadway. According to the patrol, the driver overcorrected, causing the vehicle to overturn. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers say she had not been wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash.

This is the 27th fatality reported by the patrol’s Troop A in their 11-county region this year.
