The Salisbury Board of Aldermen is considering an update to its city ordinances regarding limitations for constructing new homes following a citizen request at a recent meeting.
A citizen presented this issue to the board during its meeting on Thursday, May 8. The city’s current ordinance prevented the construction of smaller buildings and tiny-home structures. Mayor Ronnie Stowers said the board discussed the city’s current regulations and came to the conclusion they were outdated.
The board plans to consider updating the city’s regulations during its meeting next month.
In other news, the board approved the reappointment of Terry Minshall to the Board of Public Works for another four-year term.
