The Missouri Department of Transportation will host a public meeting in Carrollton to discuss upcoming bridge deck replacement projects in Carroll, Chariton and Livingston Counties. The project includes bridge deck replacements on the Carroll County Route JJ bridge over West Fork Wakenda Creek, the Carroll County Route B bridge over Sambo Creek, the Chariton County Route KK bridge over the Little Chariton River and the Livingston County Route D bridge over the Shoal Creek Drainage Ditch.
The public is invited to attend the open-house meeting to discuss the four bridge projects on Thursday, May 22, at the Carrollton Public Library. Attendees are welcome to come any time between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
The meeting will allow the public to share their thoughts and concerns about the design for the bridge projects and to provide comments, either directly to the engineers or through a comment form. No formal presentation will be made.
Anyone unable to attend the open house meeting can still provide public comments by visiting the project webpages or by mailing MoDOT. Public comments are available through Thursday, June 5, 2025. Comments through the mail must be postmarked by that date.
