The city of Glasgow continues to weigh their options for how to best spend a loan from a state revolving fund.

During Monday night’s meeting, the Board of Aldermen discussed what to include on their list of projects that would be funded by a $4.85 million loan awarded by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. City clerk Teara O’Key tells KMMO News that council members are taking their time to assess their options, as several members are new to the council and the city is without an administrator following the departure of Robert Snider earlier this month.

Also at Monday night’s meeting, aldermen approved a request to seek bids for a new front entrance to City Hall. The board also swore in new south ward alderman Alan Coffer, and learned their initial committee assignments from mayor Donald Clear. Coffer will join aldermen Eric Monnig and Renna Bean on the budget committee, while Jeff Parks, Megan Watts, and Jason Wright will form the road and sidewalks committee. The board also approved the selection of Clint Jacobs as city treasurer.

A decision on requiring city employees to use digital timesheets was tabled, as was a presentation on potential changes to the city’s trash contract with RTS.
