The Carrollton R-7 School District Board of Education approved increases to the proposed breakfast and lunch prices for the 2025-2026 school year.

The board made the decision to increase the meal prices by five cents during its May 13 meeting. Superintendent Dr. Tinna Croy says the board approved the increase to satisfy requirements from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

Breakfast meal prices also went up five cents for K-12 and staff.

In other news, the board approved the paper bid from Contract Paper Group, sticking with the same company they’re currently contracted with. Croy says the bid came in 50 cents lower than last year’s contract. Croy also spoke about Carrollton’s graduation, which is scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, May 18 on the High School football field.
