The Kansas City Chiefs will hit the road to start the 2025 season, playing their season opener in Brazil.
The Chiefs’ schedule was released Wednesday, May 14, with eight of the defending AFC Champions’ games in primetime. That will include the Chiefs’ trip to São Paulo to face division foes, the Los Angeles Chargers on Friday, Sept. 5. The home opener the following week will be a rematch of Super Bowl LIX, when the Philadelphia Eagles visit Arrowhead Stadium. The Chiefs will have two of their first six games on Sunday night, starting with a trip to the Meadowlands Sept. 21 to face the New York Giants, then a home game against the Detroit Lions on Oct. 12. Two Monday Night games are also scheduled early in the season, with a trip to Jacksonville on Oct. 6, followed by a home game Oct. 27 against Washington. The Chiefs will visit Buffalo on Nov. 2 before having their bye week.
The Chiefs will spend Thanksgiving in Dallas, facing the Cowboys at 3:30 p.m. It was previously announced that the Chiefs would host Denver for Christmas, with kickoff at 7:15 p.m. That will also be their regular season home finale, as the Chiefs will visit the Las Vegas Raiders for their week 18 game the weekend of Jan. 4.
