The Moberly School District Board of Education discussed the results of a pair of surveys asked of their elementary school parents, during their monthly board meeting Tuesday, May 13.

Supt. Cristina Wright says one survey asked parents whether their students would participate in programs before or after school hours.

A second survey focused exclusively on Gratz Brown Elementary, Moberly’s building for third through fifth grades.

Also Tuesday night, Moberly’s school board approved their budget for the next school year, which Wright says comes out to $33.4 million and includes wage and health coverage increases for district staff. The board also agreed to contracts for speech language services with TheraTree SLP and Carrington Frevert.

Superintendent Wright also congratulated seniors on their graduation, following their awards ceremony Wednesday. Moberly’s commencement ceremony will take place Sunday evening at 7:30 p.m. at Dr Larry K Noel Stadium.
