The Missouri Department of Transportation is citing contractor schedule changes for postponing the start of a resurfacing project in Carroll and Livingston counties.

Capital Paving and Construction is contracted to complete the resurfacing of U.S. Route 65 between Chillicothe and just north of Carrollton. The project was scheduled to start Monday, but the start date is now delayed. MoDOT says Capital Paving plans to start the project later this month, but a new start date has not yet been set. When the project begins, areas where crews are repaving will be limited to one lane with a 12-foot width restriction.

Capital Paving continues to repair curbs and entrances in Chillicothe as part of a separate project.
