Appointments to eight different boards received the approval of the Marceline City Council last Wednesday, May 14.

City manager Jesse Wallis says the appointments were made by the city’s new mayor, Shelly Milford.

Also at Wednesday night’s meeting, the council agreed to update their contract with Allstate Consultants, who is conducting a study on the city’s water rate, and also ratified a legal services agreement with the Healy Law Firm. The council also voted to switch the city’s employee life insurance policy provider to New York Life and approved the Rotary Club’s request for the installation of a bench by the city’s pickleball court.
