
Both the Sedalia City Council and Sedalia School District 200 Board of Education are among the meetings scheduled for Monday, May 19 in the area.
The Sedalia City Council will open their meeting Monday at 6:30 p.m. with a public hearing on the proposed annexation of the Autumn Creek development into the city limits. The council will then consider a pair of vehicle purchases and receive a presentation from the Boys and Girls Club of West Central Missouri, who is seeking a waiver of permit fees for their new teen center. The council will meet at the Municipal Building on South Osage.
Sedalia’s school board is also meeting Monday at 6:30 p.m. The board will consider whether to add baseball and softball programs at Smith-Cotton Junior High, and review bids for concrete and asphalt projects at Smith-Cotton High School. The board will also review bids for construction work at the district’s future central offices on South Lafayette. The school board will meet at the Heckart Performing Arts Center at Smith-Cotton High School.
Other polities meeting Monday include the Concordia Board of Aldermen at 5 p.m., the Carrollton Town Council at 6 p.m., Higginsville Board of Aldermen at 6 p.m., Moberly City Council at 6 p.m., and Boonville City Council at 7 p.m.
