The Concordia Board of Aldermen held discussions with department heads to set priorities for the 2025-2026 budget year.

Aldermen met with the Chief of Police, Parks and Recreation Director, and the Water and Wastewater Superintendent during its meeting on Monday, May 19. City Administrator Dale Klussman said he felt it was important for the board to meet with each department head to discuss budget priorities for the fiscal year.

Klussman explains the board will look to accomplish as many of the goals set by each department head, and create multi-year plans to help achieve the others.

Some of the priorities brought up by the department heads include completing the procedures and policies for the accreditation of the Police Department through the Missouri Police Chiefs’ Association, completing work at the Community Center and city parks, and maintaining water and wastewater facilities.
