
Two men from Kansas were injured Tuesday, May 20 when their pickup struck a sign along westbound U.S. Route 50 in Johnson County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the one-vehicle crash around 4:45 p.m. at the intersection with NW 550 Road, about two miles west of Pittsville. According to the patrol, the pickup went off the left side of the roadway and struck a sign before returning to the roadway and overturning. Troopers say the 26-year-old driver was not wearing his seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle, incurring moderate injury. A 43-year-old passenger was wearing his seat belt and sustained minor injury. Both men were taken to a Warrensburg hospital for treatment.
