The Slater City Council held a discussion over the opening of the city’s pool during its meeting Tuesday night.
City Administrator Gene Griffith reported the pool opens on Memorial Day, with some adjustments to the prices. Griffith explained the price of family swimming passes is increasing because of the rising cost to chlorinate the pool.
Griffith noted the increase puts Slater in line with the adjustments municipalities like Marshall and Sweet Springs have made. Pool parties remain at the same cost of $125 for two hours.
The council approved the increase with a unanimous vote.
