Elizabeth Frances “Liz” McDaniel, 100, of Saline County, MO, died Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center in Sedalia, MO.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens Cemetery. Liz was born on March 6, 1925, in Gilliam, MO, to the late Ernest “Jack” and Lena Belle Fortner Fizer. She lived in Saline County most of her life. Liz graduated from Gilliam High School and played basketball while in high school. On February 22, 1944, she married Charlie McDaniel who preceded her in death on November 23, 2002. Liz was a member of Shiloh Methodist Church, and she retired from ConAgra after 43 years of service. She enjoyed gardening and bird watching.

Liz is survived by her daughter, Linda Katzer (Gary) of Warsaw, MO; two grandchildren: Vicky Mendoza (Manuel) and Rick Ramsey (Penelope); five great-grandchildren: Tia, Kara, Michael, Tanna and Cody; and several great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Liz was preceded in death by one brother, Raymond Fizer.
