The Higginsville Board of Aldermen approved a sale agreement with Comcast Cable Communications Management during its meeting Monday, May 19.
City Administrator Jeanette Dobson says the agreement allows Comcast to purchase a section of conduit located on Grange Road down Highway 13 to 29th Street.
In return for the conduit, the city will be compensated with $250,000 and a 12-count fiber for the city’s power plants.
In other news, the board approved a revised mutual aid agreement with the Johnson County Ambulance District for emergency medical services. This is a revised version of an agreement that has been in place since 2007. Dobson notes there are no significant changes made to the agreement.
