The Warrensburg Tigers continue their pursuit of a state title when their boys’ tennis team faces the Parkway West Longhorns on Thursday, May 22 at noon in Springfield.
Warrensburg advanced to state following last week’s 5-1 quarterfinal victory over Helias Catholic. They’re led by Noah Blum, who will battle Kayh Daudsyah in the number one singles contest. Blum finished sixth in the Class Two singles tournament earlier this week. Both of Warrensburg’s pairings (Calvin Werner and Oliver Staab; Nicholas Staab and Kaleb Smarr) qualified for the state doubles tournament.
After today’s semifinals, Warrensburg will face either Platte County or MICDS in a trophy match Friday at noon. The championship and third place matches will take place at the same time.
