New Franklin R-1 Superintendent Benjamin Dorson provided an update on the district’s building projects taking place over the next few months.

Some of the projects the district is working on this summer include tuck pointing, HVAC, plumbing, and some repairs to the High School gym. Dorson gave an update on when these projects are scheduled to start.

Dorson says most of the projects should be finished before the start of the next school year.

Dorson provided this update during the Board of Education’s meeting on Thursday, May 22. The board also voted to request bids for the district’s food and fuel contracts. The Board of Education next meets Wednesday, June 18.
