Anne Marie Day, 82, of Pilot Grove passed away at Riverdell Nursing Home on Thursday, May 22, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Anne Marie Rudder was born on July 20, 1942, in Paris, MO the daughter of Marvin B. and Leona F. Rudder.  She attended and graduated from SS Peter and Paul Catholic School in Boonville in 1960 as Valedictorian of her class.  Anne married Harold Joseph Day on October 22, 1960, at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church.  Together they resided and farmed in Pilot Grove until his death in 2015.

They raised four children, all who survive, Larry (Pam) Day of Pilot Grove, Teresa (Larry) Vest of Boonville, Kathleen (Mark) Maier of Boonville, and Cheryl (Bryan) Hartsell of Dukedom, TN; nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Linda Foos and Sarah Rainey.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Lawrence Wayne Rudder.

Anne was very active in St. Joseph Catholic Church, and a member of the Altar Sodality.  She worked for Shelter Insurance Company for over 37 years.  After retirement she worked at Katy Manor assisting residents at mealtime.

Prayers of the Holy Rosary will begin at 12:00 p.m. with visitation immediately following until service time on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pilot Grove.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. with Father Mark Smith officiating.  Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Joseph School Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Association.  The family would like to express huge appreciation to the staff at Riverdell for their exceptional care and devotion during her last days, and to Heartland Hospice for their attention.  Arrangements are in the care of Meisenheimer-Page-Dady Funeral Home in Pilot Grove.
