A waste collection event is scheduled at the Saline County household hazardous waste drop-off facility on Wednesday, May 28.

Various types of hazardous waste will be accepted, including solvents, pesticides, pet sprays, rat/mouse poison, oil based paint, pool chemicals, drain openers, insecticides, bleach, and glue. Latex paint and gasoline will not be accepted.

Items will be collected by appointment only. Residents can call 660-886-3945 to schedule an appointment. Items will be collected from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. The drop-off facility is located at the Marshall Landfill at 26523 245th Road in Marshall.
