The Missouri Department of Transportation has contracted Capital Paving and Construction, LLC to complete a resurfacing project on U.S. Route 65 from U.S. Route 36 in Chillicothe to south of Route CC in Carrollton. The project is scheduled to begin Wednesday, May 28.

Route 65 will be narrowed to one lane with flaggers directing motorists through the work zone. A 12-foot width restriction will be in place. The project is expected to be complete by late October.

As part of different project, the contractor is currently repairing curbs and entrances along Route 65 from Second Street to Business U.S. 36 in Chillicothe.

All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
