
The Concordia Lady Orioles softball team defeated Lockwood in the MSHSAA Class 1 softball championship 3-0, capturing the state title for the second year in a row.
Olivia Hemme led Concordia to victory, pitching seven scoreless innings. Hemme gave up just two hits and struck out ten batters. She also drove home a run with a sac fly.
Karleigh Wilckens homered and drove in two runs for the Lady Orioles.
Concordia finishes the season with a 27-4 record, having won their last 12 games on the path to the championship. The Lady Orioles have now played in each of the last three Class 1 State softball championship games, winning in 2024 and finishing second in the state in 2023.
