The Missouri Department of Transportation will begin a project in Lafayette County to resurface U.S. Route 24 this Monday, June 2.

The project will stretch from the intersection with U.S. Route 65 outside Waverly west to the Jackson County line, with crews performing the work between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays. Where crews are present, traffic will be reduced to one lane, with pilot cars helping travelers navigate the work zone. MoDOT anticipates the project wrapping up in November, with all work weather permitting.
