A group of re-enactors will camp out in Arrow Rock this weekend, showcasing the life of traders who went to and from Saline County and surrounding areas during its early settlement.
State Historic Site Supt. Cindy Imhoff says that Arrow Rock Stock and Trade will establish their camp just outside by the J Huston Tavern, ahead of the annual meeting and open house for the public May 31.
Imhoff says the group will make their way into the tavern for a social event at 4:30 p.m.
The state historic site’s public meeting is also tomorrow Saturday, beginning at 3 p.m. in the tavern’s Tap Room.
