Ruby Irene Neff, 102, of Marshall, MO, passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at The Living Center in Marshall, surrounded by her family.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall with Rev. Wayne Doolin officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Born February 25, 1923, in Napton, MO, she was the daughter of the late Emmet E. Davis and Freda Leimkuehler Davis. Ruby lived in Saline County her entire life and was a 1941 graduate of Marshall High School and then attended one year at Southwest Baptist College in Bolivar, MO. On June 10, 1945, she married A.W. Neff and they were married 63 years when he preceded her in death on February 11, 2009. Ruby lived in the Hardeman area of Saline County most of her life where she was a member of Fish Creek Baptist Church.  She was an active member of the church and taught Sunday school and Vacation Bible School.  In addition to being the ultimate farmer’s housewife, Ruby drove a school bus for Hardeman School for 33 years.

Ruby is survived by one son, Gene Neff and wife Joyce of rural Hardeman; one daughter, Gayle Clause and husband Kenny of Marshall; six grandchildren: Jerrie Kenner (Nelson), Rob Jacobs (Karie), Christy Heying (Mike), Lance Neff (Lindsey), Suzi Muller (Jarad) and Stephanie Hibbard (Gary); also a “bonus” granddaughter, Melissa Neff; 11 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ruby was preceded in death by one brother, Ralph E. Davis; and two sisters, Mary Ellen Ward and Mabel Davis.
