Two Sedalia residents were arrested following a two-month investigation by the Sedalia Police Department and the Crime Resolution Unit. Both subjects were allegedly involved in a drug trafficking operation that brought methamphetamine into Sedalia.

According to a release, investigators monitored the activities of Dillon Naylor and Delanie Swisegood, which culminated in their arrest on Thursday, May 29, following a traffic stop.

In April, officers reportedly observed Swisegood meeting with a male subject who was later caught to be in possession of more than one ounce of a methamphetamine/fentanyl mixture, which investigators believe he obtained from Swisegood.

Throughout the month of May, investigators continued gathering evidence against both Swisegood and Naylor. The culmination of the case occurred on Thursday, when law enforcement conducted a traffic stop resulting in the arrest of both suspects. They were transported to the Pettis County Jail and placed on 24-hour holds.

Both subjects have been charged with a felony for delivery of a controlled substance. Swisegood has also been charged with three felonies for distribution of a controlled substance within a protected location, a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance, and a charge for hindering a felony prosecution. Naylor’s bond was set at $100,000, while Swisegood’s was set at $150,000.

The investigation is ongoing.
