The Saline County Commission, along with the City of Marshall and Missouri Department of Natural Resources, will host a community cleanup event Saturday at the Saline County Fairgrounds.
Northern District Commissioner Stephanie Gooden says that Saline County residents have the opportunity to drop unwanted items for disposal from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The collection event is for residents only and not for commercial businesses. Gooden notes that household hazardous waste, freon-based appliances like refrigerators and window-unit air conditioners, and yard waste will not be accepted at Saturday’s collection. The West Central Missouri Solid Waste management District F is helping organize the clean up. The collection takes place Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Saline County Fairgrounds in Marshall.
