The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch throughout the KMMO listening area until 8 p.m. June 3, 2025.

The counties of Carroll, Chariton, Cooper, Howard, Johnson, Lafayette, Pettis, and Saline are included in the watch. A tornado watch indicates that conditions are favorable for tornadoes to form, but a tornado hasn’t been spotted yet.

The Pettis County Sheriff’s Office has advised that FEMA tornado shelters are open during the watch.

The National Weather Service has also issued a severe thunderstorm warning throughout the KMMO listening area as well.
