
A Wellington teenager suffered moderate injuries after she went off a roadway south of Lexington the afternoon of Tuesday, June 3.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that the 16-year-old was driving east on County Farm Road, one mile east of U.S. Route 24, when just before 5 p.m., she went off the right side of the roadway. The teen overcorrected, ultimately driving off the north side of the roadway. She was taken to a Kansas City area hospital. Storm damage and heavy rain had been reported around the Lexington earlier in the afternoon.
