The Marshall Police Department is reminding citizens of ordinances regarding the city’s curfew and motorized bicycles.
The City has a curfew for children under the age of 17. These persons are not allowed out in public areas between the hours of 12:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m., with a few exclusions.
The City of Marshall also has ordinances in place prohibiting “Use of Toy Vehicles” on city streets. This includes motorized scooters, motorized unicycles, and motorized toys. Riding any type of bicycle is prohibited on the city square. The bicycle is to be walked one block off the square and while on the square. Chief of Police Mike Donnell says motorized and electric bicycles can be allowed as long as they meet certain requirements.
Donnell notes that referrals could await any juvenile who violates these ordinances
