
Betty Louise Schleicher, 85, of Sweet Springs, MO, died Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Good Shepherd Care Community in Concordia.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Concordia. Cremation will follow visitation and private family inurnment will be held at a later date in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville. Born June 14, 1939, in Sylamore, AR, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin Blankenship and Lillie Irene Pitts Blankenship. On July 3, 1969, she married William A. “Bill” Schleicher who preceded her in death on January 1, 2019. Betty worked in restaurant management for many years and had worked at Hardee’s in Concordia and Sweet Water in Sweet Springs. She had lived in Sweet Springs since 1990 where she was an active member of the community and member of the Optimist Club. Betty enjoyed crafts, jewelry making and being with her family.
Survivors include four children: Trina Schleicher of Norman, OK, William A. “Tony” Schleicher (Charity) of Sweet Springs, James Lee Phillips (Tina) of Lakewood, PA, and Beckie Figura (Dave) of Lake Como, PA; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as other extended family members.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents and husband; one daughter, Cindy Norris; one son, Michael Phillips; two grandchildren, Alan and Eric Timm; two great-grandchildren, Baleigh and Damon; and one brother, A.B. Blankenship.
