A motorcycle driver was taken to a Marshall hospital after his vehicle fell onto a city street Wednesday, June 11.

The Marshall Police Department reported that the accident occurred on Industrial Drive around 8:45 a.m., when a man was driving his Harley-Davidson motorcycle south on the roadway. According to police, the man attempted to stop his bike as a tractor-trailer pulled onto the street. The bike did not hit the other vehicle, but instead fell onto the roadway. Police say the motorcycle driver sustained lacerations and some abrasions to his head and hand. He was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
