Fannie Mae Mills, (known as Molly Johnson to many) 83, of Slater, MO, died Friday, June 13, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.

A Celebration of Life Service and inurnment will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Blue Lick Cemetery in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home. An online guestbook may be signed at www.campbell-lewis.com.

Fannie was born on November 3, 1941, in California, to the late Clay Holt and Retta Elizabeth George. She worked in Las Vegas as an executive housekeeper for a major casino, worked at Wilson’s in Marshall for 13 years and spent 28 years at Big Bend Retreat in Slater as a CNA. Fannie loved to travel with her sisters, and she had a love of working in the garden and canning. She was an avid reader and was on the Slater Library Board for many years. One of her favorite sayings was she loved to spoil her grandkids just like she liked them.

Fannie is survived by her son, David Johnson Sr. (Cindy); grandson, Bryan Joseph Johnson Jr. (B.J.) both of Slater; step-son, Kevin Mills of Marshall; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; two sisters: Ruth Cott (David) and Fay Quick (Oran) both of Marshall; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three children: Terry Lee Narron, Tammy Sue Ballenger and Bryan Joseph Johnson Sr.; and one brother, Clay Holt Jr.
