A Warsaw woman suffered serious injury after her SUV was struck by oncoming traffic on a Benton County roadway Thursday, June 12.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the crash around 11:15 a.m. on Lost Valley Road, east of Warsaw. According to troopers, a Toyota was heading east on the roadway when its 44-year-old driver lost control on the wet pavement and crossed the center line. The Toyota collided with a Ford driven by a 64-year-old woman. She suffered the serious injury and was taken to a Sedalia hospital. Troopers says they have not determined if she was wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash. The other driver had no reported injuries.
