The 2025 ‘Return to the Roost’ is wrapping up with a big block party on the Marshall Square Saturday evening.

Day 2 of the event kicked off with a series of events throughout the morning, including a 5k run and walk, gatherings of formerl Owls band and tennis team members, and a student and teacher meet and greet.. The event has ultimately culminated in the block party on the square, which will run until midnight. Ron Renard the turnout for this year’s event has been good, even despite some rain Friday.

Class tents have filled the courthouse lawn, allowing alumni to meet and reconnect. Food and beverage vendors are available on the square, and live musical performances are taking place throughout the evening.

The event will wrap up Sunday morning with a Roost Farewell Breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m. at the Knights of Columbus Building in Marshall.

The first ‘Return to the Roost’ event was originally scheduled to be held in 2020, but it was postponed to 2022 following complications from COVID-19. Renard notes the next Roost will be held in 2030.
