The Concordia R-2 Board of Education approved capital projects for the 2025-2026 school year during its meeting Wednesday, June 11.

Superintendent Theresa Christian says the board approves a list of capital improvement projects each year to maintain the district’s facilities.

Some of these projects include refinishing the gym floors, tree removal, and replacing the roof on the CHS Atrium. Christian says this year’s list is much shorter than its been over the past few years.

Christian says the board set aside $52,600 for the capital improvement projects.

In other news, the board approved Hiland Dairy for the milk bid and SGC for the bread bid for the upcoming school year. Christian notes these are the same vendors the district has worked with over the past several years.
