The St Louis Cardinals will play a true doubleheader Thursday, June 19 at the Chicago White Sox following the postponement of Wednesday night’s game at Rate Field.

The Cardinals are expected to send Erich Fedde to the mound for the first game, while Sean Burke will get the start for Chicago. First pitch is at 1:10 p.m. and will mark Fedde’s first appearance against his former team, after he was traded to St Louis last July. The second game will start about 30 minutes following the first game, with Michael McGreevy taking the bump for the Cardinals. McGreevy will be the Cardinals’ 27th man for the doubleheader, getting the call-up from Triple-A Memphis.

This will mark the sixth doubleheader for the Cardinals this season. They’ll enter this afternoon’s twin bill with a 38-35 record, seven games behind the Cubs in the NL Central while trailing the Padres by one game for the third wild card spot.
