
A Sedalia resident is facing two drug charges after his arrest Wednesday, June 18.
Sedalia Police announced that their detectives joined members of the Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force in executing a search warrant on a home and vehicle on the 1700 block of East 4th Street. Officers say they discovered a hidden compartment within the vehicle and recovered what they say is over a quarter pound of methamphetamine. The probable cause statement adds that detectives also discovered syringes in the vehicle and several items in the living room described as contraband.
Arrested at the scene was 47-year-old Joseph M Edwards. He’s been charged with second-degree drug trafficking and possession of a controlled substance. His initial hearing was scheduled for Friday morning, with bond set at $100,000.
