main-street-presentation

Marshall Main Street President Rebecca Adams reflected on the recent recommendations from last week’s two-day workshop with representatives from Missouri Main Street Connection and the USDA.

The workshop took place June 16-17 and included a guided tour of Marshall’s downtown district as well as several meetings and presentations to help promote economic growth and revitalize the district. A teams of experts from all over the country came to Marshall during the event to lead discussions and provide recommendations for Marshall Main Street. Those recommendations were delivered during a presentation Tuesday night in the Malcolm Center on Missouri Valley College’s campus.

Adams highlighted some of the recommendations that came out of Tuesday’s presentation.

Adams says Marshall Main Street is currently working on a building inventory list to keep track of vacant buildings available for developers.

Adams says Marshall Main Street will receive a full report from the workshop from Missouri Main Street Connection within the next 4-6 weeks. This report will include all the recommendations, renderings, and data provided by the team. Adams hopes to share these finding with the public when it is made available.
