The Missouri Department of Transportation has announced the reopening of a bridge outside the Lake Nehai community.
MoDOT crews reopened the Route D bridge over Mussel Fork Friday morning in northern Chariton County. It’s the latest bridge completed as part of the Northwest Bridge Bundle, which is replacing or rebuilding 31 of the poorest condition bridges across North Central Missouri. The design-build team of Capital Paving and Horner & Shifrin designed the new Route D bridge, which replaced a span that had been constructed in 1947. Construction began in late February.
You can track the progress of the bridges slated for replacement or improvements as part of the Northwest Bridge Bundle by visiting the project’s page on MoDOT’s website.
