The City of Glasgow is preparing for the arrival of 14 new jobs, following last week’s announced expansion by Phoenix Manufacturing.

The Missouri Department of Economic Development announced Friday that Phoenix Manufacturing would add new equipment to its fabrication facility in Glasgow, investing more than $1.1 million and creating 14 new jobs. Mayor Donald Clear says the city is excited to see its industries grow.

Clear says it’s the latest sign of his historic Howard County community becoming a hub for the region’s industry and economic development.

Products made in Phoenix Manufacturing’s 125,000 square foot facility in Glasgow have recently supported projects in Tennessee, Minnesota and New York. The Missouri Department of Economic Development says Phoenix will take part in the state’s Missouri Works program, allowing the company to access capital through withholdings or tax credits for job creation.
